The Console has three ways to reach members. Each solves a different job.
News
A notice board inside the club. News sits in the app and stays there — good for the start of a season, house rules, or a write-up after the night.
Use news when the content is still worth reading a week later.
Messages
Shorter notes to members, landing in their inbox in the app.
Use messages when it is slightly urgent, but not enough to deserve an email.
Club email
Email sent from the Console, either free text or from a template you have saved.
Two things to know:
- Members who have opted out of email, and members with no email address, are skipped automatically. The Console tells you how many before you send.
- If you edit a template just before sending, the text goes out as it stands — but the change is not saved back to the template unless you save it.
Automatic email when a tournament opens
The openTournamentTemplate template is sent automatically to members when you open a tournament for sign-ups. In the text, [name] is replaced with the tournament name and [time] with the start time.
Tailor it once and you never write that weekly invitation again.
